Michael Paulus is the University Librarian at Creighton University. His administrative and research interests focus on AI ethics and the integration of AI into libraries and institutions of higher education.

Dr. Paulus is the author of Artificial Intelligence and the Apocalyptic Imagination: Artificial Agency and Human Hope, which explores historical and theological resources that may help us imagine and create a better world with AI. He is also co-editor of AI, Faith, and the Future, a multidisciplinary exploration of the present and future impacts of AI from the perspective of Christian faith. His current book project, “Hope in the Library: Shaping Our Future with Artificial Intelligence,” argues for the importance of libraries in an age of artificial agency.
